Energy Transition (11:05-12:05)

Despite advances in renewable energy technologies our energy needs are not being met and more than 80% of our primary energy needs are still driven by fossil fuels.

-  At what point in the future will renewable and alternative energies become truly competitive?

-  How effective are international efforts toward moving energy production away from fossil fuels?

-  What role can energy producing countries play in the transition?

-  Are we all waiting for a revolutionary technology to come that will change how we produce energy? Will that technology ever come?
