Tarek Sultan is Chairman and Managing Director of Agility, one of the world’s leading providers of integrated logistics to businesses and governments. In this capacity, Mr. Sultan has spearheaded Agility’s rapid expansion from a Kuwaiti powerhouse, to the largest logistics company in the Middle East, to a global top ten industry player, over the course of the last decade. Today, the company has $6.8 billion in annual revenue and more than 37,000 employees in over 550 offices and 120 countries.
Mr. Sultan serves on the board of directors of the National Real Estate Company, the World Economic Forum’s Board of Governors for the Logistics and Transportation Industry, acts as an advisor to the Singapore Economic Development Board, and sits on Wharton’s International Advisory Council. Mr. Sultan also sits on the regional board of Junior Achievement (Injaz), which provides youth in the Middle East with practical opportunities to learn entrepreneurial skills.
Mr. Sultan holds a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Strategic Planning from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College. Before taking on his leadership role at Agility, Mr. Sultan was the Managing Director of New York Associates, a regional investment banking services provider and an Associate with Southport Partners, a U.S.-based corporate finance advisory firm specializing in the technology sector.
Mr. Sultan is married with three children. He enjoys tennis and golf. |
